PHY 101 Technical Physics I

This is a noncalculus-based introduction to the principles of physics and their applications. Emphasis is placed on understanding through problem solving. This course is not transferable to most four-year engineering degrees. Topics include vectors, Newton's law of motion, work, energy and machines.  Pre-/co-requisite: MTH 173, MTH 172 or MTH 141.  Three lecture hours and two laboratory hours a week. Instructional Support Fee applies. Competency met: Scientific Reasoning and Discovery (3.0)  4 credits Fall
